Excellent handling, strong and abrasion resistance make this a great general-purpose rope. Nylon has elasticity under load so it can absorb shock loads that might break other types of rope. The diamond braiding creates a smooth surface that resists unraveling and twisting, and it wears well under tough conditions. Nylon fiber absorbs some water, causing about 10-15% loss of strength, which does return once dry. Won't react to most petroleum products, alkalis, or marine growth.
