This listing is for a premium Yacht braid mecate in a 22' length, with latigo poppers on both ends. These feature my custom made buckle on slobber straps from our shop in Oregon! These are the kind with snaps on the ends, for super easy changing of bits or bridles! Choose your buckles.. Jeremiah Watt designed Stainless Steel buckles are available in either oval or square, with a black background (BLK) or a silver finish (SLV)! There are leather loops/ keepers on the ends, that hold the nickel snaps in place. The buckles have "horse shoe" stamped on the back and are copyrighted. The first photo is of oval buckles with a black background. The mecate is made from 1/2" plus, or a little thicker/ heavier 9/16" diameter premium double braided polyester, known for it's soft, heavier feel, abrasion and sunlight resistance. On the ends are latigo leather poppers, tied in bleeding heart knots. Made in the USA! Choose your color from the drop down menu! The first rope colors are 1/2" in diameter, the last ones on the drop down menu are 9/16" diameter, and are labeled as such. Currently, the aqua/brown, tan/brown, maroon/tan are transitioning to 9/16".. The slobber straps are made from quality, pliable 8-9 oz USA Burgundy Brown Latigo Leather. They measure about 6" (8" long including the snaps) long, and are 3/4" wide at the bit ends, and 2" wide at the rein ends. The snaps on the ends will make it very adaptable to many bits. The snaps, and loops are also removable if you choose to not use them. The buckles are installed with chicago screws, making it possible to change or replace your buckles if desired. The wire loops on the backs are stainless steel. These are heavy duty, smooth, quality buckles! These come tied up and ready to be installed on your bit! If black latigo, or Hermann Oak russet harness leather is preferred, please leave a message when ordering. If no message is received, the burgundy brown leather will be used. These are assembled from our shop in Oregon, one at a time, just for you!
