Dickerson, Lyle - Model 8013, 8' 2/2 5wt Bamboo Rod - Freestone

For sale here is a Dickerson 8013, 8' 2/2 5wt in excellent used condition. Built in 1960 for Mary Wilson. The rod features bronzed snake guides, light agate stripping guide and transparent brown windings with black tipping. The top 3 snake guides on one tip are re-wrapped in slightly finer silk. Signature wraps on the butt section along with clear & bold script. All sections are straight and full length. 13/64 step down ferrules fit perfectly and retain their bluing nicely. A bent loop hook keeper leads into 6" cork grip (clean and smooth), and standard down-locking reel seat over walnut spacer. A light buff to the varnish was performed by Glenn Brackett, and the tip ferrules received a light overcoat at some point. Medium fast 5wt action, one of Dickerson's most beloved tapers.
