The Atlantic Flying Fish (Cheilopogon melanurus) is a species of fish native to the Atlantic Ocean. They are plankton feeders and often feed at night when swarms of zooplankton are plentiful. They use their overly large pectoral fins to soar above the water in order to escape predators like tuna, bottlenose dolphins, sharks, squid, and billfish.
