This is a very rare rod made around the late 1800s by a Highly regarded London maker as beautifully inscribed on the nickel silver butt stopper ferrule, having the highest quality fittings, nickel silver reel seat with a very nice turned hard wood handle, note the spliced cane above the handle and the turned ivory stopper, what can only be described as a highly crafted Hand built rod, 14ft built cane salmon rod which would have been built for the high society of that era. A great collectors piece with original bag.
