Madeira announces the creation of a Bitcoin Innovation Business Centre Cryptocurrency scrgruppen

Madeira Regional Government President Miguel Albuquerque has announced plans to create a Bitcoin Business Center (BTC) to drive regional innovation. This statement was made during a friendly conversation with Serbian Prince Filip Karadjordjevic on the second day of Bitcoin Amsterdam 2023.

Karadjordjevic I expressed Interest in the new Bitcoin Business Center, focusing on its role in technology development and partnerships, with Albuquerque pointing to the center’s origins in Madeira and the extensive collaboration opportunities it provides.

According to Albuquerque, the idea for the Bitcoin Business Center started with a group of hard-working professionals, and is open to anyone who wants to collaborate. Madeira is an autonomous region in Portugal that has embraced Bitcoin by implementing policies that exempt Bitcoin investors from paying personal income taxes in the region.

Karađorđević praised Madeira’s embrace of Bitcoin as a forward-looking technology and a secure and open protocol similar to the Internet.
