Crawford County area fishing report for May 20-26

• Pymatuning Lake: The Crappies and walleye were biting regularly. A bunch of different lures and baits were working for the walleye such as night crawlers, flickers and bay rats. Minnows were effective most with the crappies.• French Creek and other area streams: High and rushing waters makes it tough for fishing.• Canadohta Lake: On Saturday, Canadohta Lake was milky, murky and dirty making for tough fishing. Still, people were able to catch walleye about 25 to 26 inches long using jigs and raps. Small bucktails were also used to catch muskies.• Woodcock Creek/spillway: Water levels are fishable due to the Army Corp holding back water to stop flooding. Walleye and muskies are being caught on sonars and Rapala jerk baits.• Woodcock Lake: Unfortunately, the lake is extremely muddy and waters are high, no reports of catches.
