The Open Network (TON) is trying to set a world record in fasting Cryptocurrency scrgruppen

Zug, Switzerland, October 11, 2023, Chainware
Today, the Open Web Foundation (Toon Foundation) announces its next attempt to officially obtain the title of the fastest blockchain chain in the world, approved by the Guinness Book of World Records. The public network performance test, scheduled to take place on October 31, 2023, at 15:00 UTC, will demonstrate the reliability, scalability and speed of the Open Network (TON) blockchain.
The TON Foundation will collaborate with Alibaba Cloud, among others, to set up 256 servers for validation nodes and start a separate TON blockchain network for performance tests.
Since 2022, the TON blockchain has seen tremendous growth. The network has seen a staggering 20-fold increase in addresses, rising from 170,000 to 3.5 million addresses. The growth of TON’s user base has come alongside the expansion of TON’s validation nodes to 350, creating a more decentralized network, now spread across 25 separate countries.
Throughout this rapid expansion, TON’s blockchain technology has maintained a remarkably reliable track record, with no documented major network disruptions.
The collaboration between the TON Foundation and Telegram, announced on September 13, underscores the TON Foundation’s commitment to bringing decentralized technology into the mainstream. The upcoming performance test is a pivotal step in demonstrating the unique capabilities of the TON blockchain, which has now been cemented as a trusted infrastructure layer for Telegram’s Web3 ecosystem.
“We are looking forward to October 31, 2023 to confirm that the TON blockchain technically stands out among any other blockchain, especially in its ability to scale,” says Anatoly Makosov, core development lead at the TON Foundation. “This is TON’s first large-scale public performance test – we’re as excited as you are to see the results.”
